John Muir is arguably California’s most important historical environmentalist. I think he have relevancy in our world today after his death because he establish thirteen forest reserves, and it became the US Forest Service. Also Muir was involved in establishing Yosemite, Sequoia, and Grand Canyon National Parks.
In pros he was the first naturalist to cross the boundary between conservation and advocacy of preservation. In cons his legacy might be arguably and not be applicable to current times.
Is there someone who does have more relevance in our world today?
I think President of Theodore Roosevelt have relevance in our world today because he found innovative conservation programs after this he started action that established 148 million acres of national forest, 5 national parks and 23 national monuments.
