One of our important need is human attachment to landscape and how we find identity in landscape and place. Landscape is not simply what we see but interpret with our mind and values. Landscape can be seen as a cultural construct in which our sense of place and memories inhere. The Hanra Mountain is very famous in Korea. I was used to go there every seasons with my family. It’s the highest and a beautiful truncated cone that is characteristic of a startovolcano. The looks is changed every season, time period or place. The four seasons are crucial for mountain. We had the different reasons to go to the mountain each seasons. In winter, me and my sister slided over the snow in a sleigh using the slope of the mountain, and in spring we watched variety of flowers of the shrub and trees. In summer, the water of valley offered natural pool. In fall, the mountain gave us the variety of fruits from the trees. The ideas of landscape and memory are important and how landscape permeates much of our thinking of who we are.
It is great reading about someone's favorite places from a different country. I loved how you described the different seasons and what the place has to offer at each time of the year, it sounds beautiful. It's nice when we have places that we get to see change from season to season and how they help us recognize the rhythm of the year.

This is great! I love the whole idea of the four seasons. I'm glad you find yourself attached to this type of landscape. It is a very unique and magnificent kind of setting. I would love to spend a couple of year in a place where I can see this type of seasonal change. Maybe the East Coast, New York City!
